Hubballi: A case of house burglary has been registered at the Gokul Road Police Station. Thieves broke into the residence of Sunil Solanke in Silver Town by forcing open the door lock.

The burglars made away with 172 grams of gold ornaments worth ₹8.60 lakh, which were kept in a bedroom locker. The Gokul Road Police are currently investigating the case.

Dharwad Resident Loses ₹3.25 Lakh to Cyber Fraud 

A resident of Saptapur in Dharwad has reportedly lost ₹3.25 lakh to cybercriminals in an investment scam. The victim, Pooja, was contacted by a scamster who claimed she could earn money by rating various products and services on Google during her free time.

Initially, the victim was convinced to invest in the task to increase her earnings. The scamster provided returns on her initial investments, building her trust. Over time, Pooja deposited a total of ₹3.25 lakh into the accused’s bank account. However, when neither her investment nor the promised returns were returned, she realized she had been defrauded.

The Cybercrime Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
